Faculty Vacancy, Fall 2008:  Music Theory.

Duties:  Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in music theory, music analysis and special topics in the area of the candidate’s expertise; assist with graduate program, including thesis advisement and service on graduate committees; maintain an active research profile commensurate with standards of a research university.

Qualifications:  Candidates must have a Ph.D. in music theory by the time of appointment, college teaching experience, a strong commitment to research and publication, and potential for national and international achievement as a scholar.

Rank:  Assistant Professor of Music Theory (full-time, tenure track), salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Starting Date:  September 1, 2008.
