[AMS-announce] JOB: Baylor Univ., Assistant Professor of Ethnomusicology/Musicology

Baylor University announces the position of Assistant Professor of Ethnomusicology/Musicology, a tenure-track position that begins in August of 2007. 

This person will be responsible for teaching graduate and undergraduate ethnomusicology courses; developing new ethnomusicology and world music courses; working within the existing ensemble structure to create a world music ensemble; teaching various music history core courses, as needed; teaching general music appreciation, as needed; maintaining an active program of research in ethnomusicology; and participating in the musical and academic life of the School of Music. Qualifications include a doctorate in ethnomusicology at the time of appointment, a record of scholarly research, and college teaching experience. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Screening of applications will begin on October 16, 2006, and will continue until the position is filled.
