Bowling Green State University is seeking applicants for a tenure
track faculty position, assistant professor in musicology, starting
August 2007. Qualified applicants must have a Ph.D. in musicology by
May 2008; demonstrated research ability in 19th- to early
20th-century art music as evidenced by significant publications,
presentations and participation in professional organizations;
secondary expertise in critical theory, aesthetics, interdisciplinary
studies, gender studies, cultural studies or performance; and
demonstrated successful teaching experience at the college level.
Responsibilities include teaching music history on the graduate and
undergraduate levels, recruiting graduate students and contributing
to the artistic and intellectual environment of the college and the
University. Other duties as assigned by chair and/or dean. The salary
is competitive and commensurate with peer institution levels for rank
and position and in keeping with candidate's experience and
credentials.

indicating the applicant's interest in and qualifications for the
position; full curriculum vitae, and three current (dated within one
year) letters of reference.
Finalists for the position will be asked to submit representative
research and teaching materials and an official transcript.
