Dear Colleagues:
 
"The American Piano," a collaborative residency featuring myself and the
pianists Steven Mayer and Anthony de Mare, will visit Wesleyan University
December 1 and 2.
 
Participants include faculty and student pianists, jazz artists, a music
historian, an American historian, the university orchestra, the
university gamelan, and the university chorus. The main topics include
Gershwin, Lou Harrison, "Copland and the Cold War," the "Black Virtuoso
Tradition," etc.
