NEW PROGRAM FOR DOCTORAL DISSERTATION COMPLETION

These year-long fellowships in support of Ph.D. dissertation
completion in the humanistic disciplines are the first part of the
MELLON/ACLS EARLY CAREER FELLOWSHIPS PROGRAM. These fellowships carry
a stipend and benefits up to a total of $33,000. Under this program,
ACLS will award 65 Fellowships to graduate students, who will be
expected to complete their dissertations within the period of their
fellowship tenure or shortly thereafter.
