In case you hadn't been aware of them already, I mention for
your posssible interest, if you visit/stay in Philadelphia just
after Christmas, there are 6 talks scheduled about Russian &
E. European MUSIC AND MUSICIANS spread among 4 panels
at the big AATSEEL (American Association of Teachers of Slavic
and East European Languages) conference. This conference will occur
in Philadelphia concurrently with the MLA conference. (Listing
of the 6 AATSEEL talks that I noticed is attached below.)
AATSEEL's conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency [Hotel]
at Penn's Landing, 201 S. Christopher Columbus Drive,
Philadelphia. (Unlike the MLA panels, AATSEEL admits panel
visitors free -- there are no MLA-type "door monitors" at each
door to block entrance unless you display a "membership badge.")
